Everyone knows that taxation is necessary in a modern state. Without it, it would not be possible to pay the soldiers and policemen who protect us, nor the workers in government offices who look after our health, our food, our water, and all the other things that we cannot do for ourselves, nor also the ministers and members of parliament who govern the country for us. By means of taxation, we pay for things that we need just as much as we need somewhere to live and something to eat.

Money is the instrument of exchange, helping in buying and selling and also in fixing a value on things and commodities. It may be in metal or in paper. With the market getting more and more complicated there are other negotiable instruments which are as good the minted coins or the printed notes. Money gives purchasing power but this power is not absolute as it on various factors. In such a case it is termed currency and according to their purchasing power they are termed hard, soft and weak. Though coins and notes are issued by the Government of the country, there is a limit to their minting.

I am a high school student.
Every morning from Monday to Saturday, I get up at 6 o’clock. After breakfast, I go to school by bicycle. It takes me about 20 minutes to go from my house to my school. I always get home just in time for dinner at 7:30 pm. After dinner, while my parents are watching television in the living-room, I read books or prepare for school in my room.

The happiest day in my life. Ngày hạnh phúc nhất trong đời tôi.
It was Prize-presentation Day. I was chosen to be the model student of the year on the recommendation of my teachers and class-mates. I was happy that they thought so well of me.
When I went up the stage to collect the prestigious medal and cash award, I was filled with pride and joy. All my teachers and friends congratulated me warmly. My parents beamed widely. They were very proud of me.

The rain makes the water in the stream deeper and it is exciting to watch the swift currents flow over the stones, carrying away leaves, grass and other refuse from our garden. We watch intently as our paper boats are tossed about in the water. They then sail swiftly down the stream and we often wonder where they finally end up.
